Kyoi 

Kyoi are people who wave died and have been given a second chance to live again. Each Kyoi bears a scar that is somehow related to how they died.

Background

Lotus was a scientist for the Armada in her first life. Her employment in the lab started a couple of days after the Divebombers all made their breakout. She continued in revamping the Armada's experiments with what blood samples where left. She didn't have much to work with, other than the previous experiment notes on how to create different successful hybrids and a dozen viles of blood, only two belonging to Onyx. She didn't want to risk waisting the samples and could see quite frankly that none of the Armada's previous experiment were working. She was the first scientist to successfully make a new breed of experiments since the Divebombers break out. She dubbed her small group of test subjects as 'Goos' because of their ability to take on a gelatinous form. She successfully turned out 3 of her 4 first experiments, and after such a success the Battle Lord put her on the 'Metallic' project, in hopes that she would be able to replicate a bird with Onyx's abilities. She only used female subjects believing that if she was successful having a female would have more benefits than a male. When the Battle Lord cut off her experiment limits she started injecting herself with Onyx's DNA which gave her a thin gold plating at the end of her tail feathers. She had just gotten her experimental number tattoo below her shoulder when Onyx's mother and Platinum's father had a clutch of chicks and she was authorized to take one for testing hoping that the combination of genes would boost her chances of recreating a bird that couple reproduce the metal gene. Onyx's father and Platinum's mother had been the only variable in her experiment. Lotus thought for sure it had to have been something in their DNA that gave Onyx the ability to keep reproducing the gene and gave Platinum the ability to permanently grow in metallic feathers rather than have them continuously fall out, because Onyx's father and Platinum's mother were brother and sister. But, since both of them were dead due to falling out with the Battle Lord, she had to work with the less likely, but still second best thing. She didn't factor in for how aggressive both parents would be though. She ended up having her arm cut off and she bled out in the nursery. When she died she went to the underworld, naturally, and worked with Seaweed and Raggs in the Underworld Warriors division before she was offered a second chance as a Kyoi. She quickly took the opportunity to work for the Divebombers under the very bird she had been trying to replicate. She now strictly works in the nursery section of Divebomb, preferring to help new life into the world rather than work in the scientific wing of the ship which was often shunned by the majority of the crew. She now happily works with the hatchlings and fledgeling along with the mothers who are stationary in the nursery. She was recently reunited with her sister who works in the infirmary in the Grand Prix section of Divebomb. (Roleplay with  check them out. )
